When I was at the library my eye saw these books in a little corner,

Now most of you quilters are probably familiar with all the story's and books she wrote. But for me they are new and after finishing the first, I am curious what will happen in the next 'Elm Creek' quilters! But I only allow myself to read before sleeping or my new bags will not be finished before autumn.
Here a peek of the new bags....

I want to make three bags in this style.
And at last I want to show you this,

Because there was a discount of 50% I also bought this,

They are great to complete my matroushka collection! Altough, is a collection ever complete?
Have a great week everyone,

your bags are amazing!
ReplyDeleteThis mixture of materials looks really great. I've seen nothing like that before.

ReplyDeleteOh wow they are so lovely! Lucky you.
ReplyDeleteI just love the Elm Creek quilt books and have been reading them since they came out. I love your matroushka quilt. It is just soooo cute and you are doing such a great job! Then of course, you need these matroushka dishes to go with it. I just happened to see these while we spent our week at Cranberry Cottage in a new shop.

ReplyDeleteHi Helen, wow we are at the same point in the Elm Creek Quilts series. I went on the web site and she recommended reading The Christmas Quilt next if you want them to read chronologically.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful bags. At first glance they looked Latin American because of the colours and woven textures. Very beautiful work. I am very partial to bright colours.
ik ben ook verslaafd aan het lezen van quilt en brei-romans. Vooral de detectives!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant bags!
