A productive easterweekend

What a lovely easter weekend we had, time to do some good sewing and this last day even the weather was fine for a long walk!

The book cover with the windmill is finished,

018

And I started a new one in the pink/red colors with stitched flowers on it,

025

They both will be in the shop when finished.

And I made a new bag for the shop..

039

It is a new model, a bit big, but I really like how it turned out!
As you can see it was a productive easter weekend!... and yes I also had some time to search for the easter eggs, that the easter bunny had hidden for us!

April so time to show the tree photo of this month,

april

It looks like nothing has changed, but if you watch very good....
you can see the tree buds growing!

Can't wait to show you the next tree picture in may, I'm sure it'll be so different!

April

Where did march go??
Today I turned a new page on my Dutch costume calander,

april

April!
If I look outside it doesn't look like April, more like november!
Lots of rain, it is cold, there is a hard wind and just thought I saw some white snowflakes!

But this cute little fellow doesn't care,

cute little fellow

as long as he gets his food, attention and sleep in time!

Becouse I had so much fun making the swap bookcovers,

Project Improv

Today I was at a flea market and bought this magazine from 1963. A cover like this, who can resist it!

cover, 'daddy is doing the dishes'

Dad is wearing mom's apron and is doing the dishes, while his two little girls wolk by giggling about their well behaving daddie. How things changed! (project improve? I hope)

But now, Project Improve,

I thought, peace of cake! make a block, leave the rules and improvise!
But I did not like my result... so I thought 'hup, het mes erin!'
I'll cut it in peaces.

project improve

Then I made an enormous mess...

project improve

let all boundaries go... and sew!

project improve

project improve

And that's what I did.

Have a good start of the week everyone,

Being prepared and What shall I wear? 5

In the news there is a lot going on about Financial banking problems etc. and it can maybe effect us all in the near future. Well I’m not so much into financial stuff, but if it will get real bad look what I found:

"New from old"

"New dungarees from dadies old trousers"

"From mothers old coat, A new pair of trousers and jacket for the jongest."

Books and bags

Whauw, time flighs when your having fun! (or being very busy)
When I was at the library my eye saw these books in a little corner,

boek phpThumb

Now most of you quilters are probably familiar with all the story's and books she wrote. But for me they are new and after finishing the first, I am curious what will happen in the next 'Elm Creek' quilters! But I only allow myself to read before sleeping or my new bags will not be finished before autumn.
Here a peek of the new bags....

sept. 08 004

I want to make three bags in this style.

And at last I want to show you this,

sept. 08 002

Because there was a discount of 50% I also bought this,

sept. 08 001

They are great to complete my matroushka collection! Altough, is a collection ever complete?

Have a great week everyone,
