Small things and a little bag

You know, I made these little ornaments,

Ornaments with a Dutch touch

Now they need to have something to put them in when they aren't hanging. So I made a little matching bag to put them in,

a peek inside

Actually I made 3 three little bags

Also made a bag with ornaments for the shop.

Easy valentine sweetheart tutorial and give away,

It is almost Valentine! And for those who are very busy but want to make a little sweetheart...Or if you want to make them with your kids.. here is a little tutorial for this sweetheart.

valentine sweetheart

What do you need;

http://dutch-colours.blogspot.com/

A piece of felt, thread, a little filling like a cotton wool pad, a needle, a ‘kartelschaar’ and scissors. (I don’t know the English word for ‘kartelschaar’ if you do please tell me.)

Step 1,

http://dutch-colours.blogspot.com/

Cut out the paperheart (if you want glue it on firm paper)

Step 2,

http://dutch-colours.blogspot.com/

Lay the heart on the piece of felt and outline the heart with a pencil on the felt.

Step 3,

http://dutch-colours.blogspot.com/

Fold the felt and Cut out the heart with the kartelschaar (= the scissor with triangular curve) on the pencil line. Now you have two cut out pieces.

Step 4,

http://dutch-colours.blogspot.com/

Embroider little flowers, dots and leaves on one heartpiece.

Stap 5,

http://dutch-colours.blogspot.com/

Lay one (or more) cotton pad between the two hearts. If you want you can put a few drops of lavender or rose essence on it.

Step 6,

Sew the heart together with small stitches. Now make a loop to hang it with. For a extra tough you can sew a little bow on it .
an readdy it is!

Bunting and sweethearts

My mother does not like computers….. although? Since my sister and I have a blog and a shop, a visit to my house is not complete if she did not see all the new posts! (And the blogs of the persons who visit ours). We try to persuade her to a computer course…. But still no results. She does like to contribute every now and then.
And now she made lots of triangle pendent’s in all kind of colors. I wanted to make them into a new cheerful bunting, but the flags were a little tall.

bunting, flags

So I cut off the top and above you see the result.
This morning I sewed the scraps together and made these sweethearts

Sweetheart

Just to get into the valentine mood!

A sunny autumn afternoon

Oh, how I enjoy this autumn afternoon. The sun is shining and I'm on my favourite spot in the garden. It is lovely to feel the warmth of the sun on my face after this past busy week! But there was just enough energy left to finish these sweethearts....
