Today we say goodbye 2009! The last day of the year.
It has been a good year, I want to thank you all for visiting and caring and for the great inspiration!

Great christmas,

We just had some great christmas days! We enjoyed the warm company of family while we had a great meal and a good glas of wine! Today we are in a bit of an afterglow atmosphere. Watching some tv and hanging on the couch close by the fire.




And in moments like these I can't sit still... so I made this quilted and embroidered pillow! It matches great with the quilt.

Everyone had so much fun in the snow these last few days... I hope it wil not melt before christmas. It will be so great to have a white christmas!



Of course there are a lot of preparations to do,



Cleaning the house, washing and ironing, christmas shopping and yummie cooking!

Christmas swap,

Last week I recieved this beautifull package and card from Mary Ann We were swappartners in the Christmas ornament swap. I wanted to wait until she recieved my part of the swap too before I blogged about it. We both send it on the same day but somehow the trip to her house took a week longer!



Mary Ann wrapped and made the package so beautifull and all in style of the UN Global Climate Conference in Kopenhagen. She wrapped it so pretty in a newspaper and look what was in the paper!

These 6 beautifull made crochet stars! They hang in our tree so pretty! Dear Mary Ann, thank you so much I really love the stars and card!!

Christmas etc...

A few more days and the christmas holidays start! My colleague and me, we love to create a seasonal atmosphere in our classroom. And look what the children in our class made for christmas,

With a cristmas tree and some specialcandle light You can imagine how lovely our classroom looks right now!

I finished this bag and it is now on its way to the new owner.



Now do you remember this little quilt?



I made it for the miniquilt Summerswap it was a secret swap (the quilt you give is another person than the person who makes you a quilt)and I send it in september. Nothing strange so far... except, I never recieved my part of the summerswap!

The top is finished and I'm ready to start quilting,

A new bag,

Although I still have to buy a new tree, I could not wait any longer to get out some of the christmas decoration.

Now this bag is almost finished.



Before putting it in the shop I need to make the shoulderband.
And after that I hope to start with these fabrics, they are waiting to become a.....

Hmm,

Hi everyone, I wanted to do some sewing today (new bag)...
but look who 'discovered' the sewing machine!



Our 13 year old doughter! She is a creative girl, but usually more a drawer..
Today she rumbled in my red and white fabric stash



until she found the right fabrics for a red and white pizza pillow!



A pillow for a hockey teammate.

Where did the time go when the kids were in bed by seven so mom could do some sewing??

Well maybe I have to take my moment tomorrow evening!

It's Sinterklaas evening

A few more minutes before we start our Sinterklaas evening. Everyone is prepering, wraping, making the right rhyme for the right person and prepering a nice dinner.



This little Zwarte Pietje is looking at it all... tomorrow Sinterklaas and all his Pieten are going back to Spain.
And when Sinterklaas is gone I hope to find time to work on this new bag,



The only thing left to show is a little peek of the chrismas ornament swap,



It is for Mary Ann,I hope she'll like it. Show you all when she has it.

Help, why do I continuously have the feeling my hours pas by so much faster than other peoples hours! And in these crazy busy days my dear mother comes with new books full, and I mean really full with new inspiration!
