Repair or restyle?

Last time I bought a great old tablecloth with beautiful embroidered flowers on it.
And I have the idea to restyle it, make it in to a quilt with the new fabrics from Room seven (boughth in the outlet last time).

a new life for an old table cloth?

The combination of this makes me feel good!

But....I seem to stumble over these very unpleasant little other things....

repair work repair work repair work

Like repairing, my sons blouse, a new zipper in my daughters top, a new button on this cuff, 3 trousers that need to be shortened...

Now I have to make a hard decision... what shall I do first?
Oh, please help me decide.....

I told you about the art project at school, about Vincent van Gogh, here are a few pieces of art the kids made,

van Gogh art project van Gogh art project

There are great artworks made by all kids. And next Tuesday there is an exhibition for family, friends etc.
So a few more busy days at school and at home.

Have a good day!

I know just what you mean! I have mending jobs to do too ... I say do the ones you least like first, then enjoy the others! x

The quilt will be gorgeous! I love the fabrics. I had to sew buttons on a couple of my DH shirts yesterday and I didn't enjoy it...though when I sew a button on a project it is fun. Go figure.

That will make a wonderful quilt--the embroidery is stunning and goes so well with the fabric.
The art work is fabulous. So creative!

wow.. you have some budding artists in your school!

And that is such a tough choice.. mending or creating. I would probably just hurry to get the rips sewn up and buttons sewn on.. then I would be free to do what I want! I seriously love your new color combinations.

Love the artwork, I'm sure the exhibition will be a great success!
Mending is always last on my list. I hate to say it but my kids usually outgrow the item before I get around to mending it...I know "bad Mom" but hey there is always an art project calling.

You could start with quilting for an hour and then do some mending jobs to go back to your quilting very very speedy!!

Can you please tell me where I can get the dishes you have with the polka dots. I have followed all the links I can find and I don't see them anywhere. Thanks Renee

I love the children's Van Gogh portraits. What a brilliant idea using photocopies as the base and then letting the kids do their own interpretive renditions!

Thank you for visiting my site and leaving a comment there too.
