New camping plates and dishes in bright colors,
It happens al the time, I go shopping for one thing and come home with something completely different. My dh. always wonders how I do it.
Anyway in the thriftshop I found this strange thing,
A hairdressers jacket, ( is that the right name for it?) 'Kapmantel' from the sixties. It looks lovely embroidered.
Remember this one?
It has been waiting to be finished for a few weeks now. I guess I just didn't find the right fabric for the border. I'm happy to have found it now.
Between the border and the patches I sewed a little vintage ribbon. It gives this quilt just the little finishing touch.
And I almost finished handquilting the mini quilt.
It's fun to work on the miniquilt and it is finished much faster as I thought... maby I'll make an extra one for the shop!
Have a good week everyone,
Heleen

Heleen, Your quilts are beautiful-as always. I've never heard of a hairdresser's jacket. That almost looks like a Christmas tree skirt to me.
Ach beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
Mooi camping dishes, so colourful and cheery. the kapmantel isn't used much in North America, except for ones made from organza for the 'old' ladies when they just had a wash and set...no cutting. Sure is nicer then the rubber heavy ones they still sometimes use in Holland.
I love the molen quilt, typische Nederlands! Is the molen a pattern or your original thinking?
groetjes!
Love the new camping plates - the flowers and gingham trim make them so cheerful - i would want to use them everyday! Your latest quilt is looking gorgeous, and the hairdressers cape was a brilliant find.
What a lovely cape for hair cutting. And your quilts are so beautiful. I especially love the dutch one. Cherrie

Oeps! Ik bedoelde 'die' en niet 'kie' ;-)
