Like these tulips I got from Corry
And to go shop for new stuff like magazines and napkins at the Hema.
Told you I'm working on a quilt with embroidered parts. I found this tablecloth on a flea market,
And as you can see on the left side of this picture.. I cut out some flowers and sewed them in the quilt.
I think it's really going to be a spring quilt!
The only thing is that I'm not sure how to make the edges so I'll put it aside for a few days.. and hope an idea will 'plop' in my head.
And about 'plop's' in my head... I'm going to use this combination for the bag like the one with the Marken fabrics.
Hope it will turn out like the 'plop' in my head.
I wish you all a good sunny start of the week,

I love the quilt it is pretty. what a good idea for old linens!
The quilt will be wonderful with the embroidered pieces! The Marken fabrics are gorgeous!!
That is so pretty. I can't help it, I always like quilts made of squares. Don't they always just look right??
What a lovely quilt where the old meets the new;) Very imaginative of you!
Groetjes Annemieke
Isn't it wonderful how things just plop into our heads! Love the quilt-clever idea to include the embroidered flowers:)
I love the way you have incorporated those little embroidered motifs into your quilt! It looks great!
I love how you repurposed the embroidery from the tablecloth into a quilt. I have several vintage linens that are stained but I couldn't bring myself to give or throw away. Now I have a project to work on in finding new homes for these little hidden jewels. :) Beautiful job.
A sunny week for you Heleen. Tulips from the Netherlands, what a gift to us! Quilting inspiration as always! Elizabeth
It looks beautiful!!
I just love your fabrics, i would love to peek at your fabric stash.

Fijne week!
Your posts are always so cheery, Heleen. The Springtime Quilt is lovely, and DH's terrace is a nice suny place to sit outside... have a good week.

Very pretty with the old embroidery included! I'll have to look at my drawer of old pillowcases with a different eye.
such a perfect use for your old embroidered tablecloth. i love how the flowers look on the quilt. well done!!
I like how you reused the tablecloth for pieces for the quilt. very creative
Your quilt is looking great! And the tulips are super.
Now that old tablecloth will be put to a new use as a pretty quilt. I am sure the 'plop' will happen and you will know just what to do. I am also sure that purse will be great.
Hugs ~
Heidi
Alvast hele fijne dagen gewenst!
