My plan was to make a quick post, becouse our school-art-project and the kids are keeping me very busy this week. I want to show you my Russian metroushka collection!
Just for inspiration, just to show how colourfull and cute they are!
My husband had to work in Russia a few times and each time he brought the most terrific gifts, as you can see!
Anyway, while I was making these pictures and unwrapped the dolls until I found the smallest, I got new inspiration!
And at the end of the evening I finished these..
and almost a second one..
Oh, Oh, I'm the worst person.. Instead of saving time I'm starting a new quilting project!!! I just can't believe myself. I'm a hopeless case..

Hi, Heleen I knew all along that you're a hopeless case (lol), but only in a good way I mean! Adorable little dolls!
I have bought a couple of russian dolls for my daughters (but really because I love them!!!) Your fabric ones are adorable! Lucy x
What a beautiful collection. Where do you store all your collections? Love the results of your inspiration.
oooh I'm loving this, getting myself a pink one soon and I've seen a "Kiss" version for my DH.
Yes it seems you are "hopeless" but I am glad because then you have beautiful things to show on your blog *LOL*
Wonderful collection Heleen. When you love Matroushka’s you should visit Tiel’s blog in Australia. Do you know her blog? It’s called TskTsk.typepad.com. She loves to paint them!
Oh but what a fun little project it is!
I totally relate to being a hopeless case. I am constantly staring new projects instead of doing other things. Love the little stitched dolls.
I am always starting yet another project. I seem to get a creative burst and have to get started. It leaves me with many WIPs. But that is okay, it keeps me out of trouble. :) You little fabric matroushkas are just adorable!

I love your collection of metroushka dolls. It reminded me I bought a set when I was in Russia and I haven't seen them in ages I much think where they are. Very clever stitched ones.
Gorgeous collection, I loved the little crafty dolls too. they are adorable.

The dolls are beautiful!! How lucky you are to have a husband that travels to "shopping" places. I have a few small Russian dolls on our tree.
I'd like to send my husband to the Scandinavian countries... with a list. When I was in Denmark years ago, I shopped my heart out.
Thanks for sharing!
Joni
