Becouse my youngest had the flu, I couldn't do much else than make little matrouska's and stay near by.
By the time he was a little better I had a full box with little matroushka's.
I know, I told you (in my last post) it would be a little quilt....
But it turned out a little different. As you can see!
While I was making them, each little matroushka got her own purpose.
There is the little messenger matroushka:
The little perfume matroushka:
The little key hanger Matroushka and a brooch matroushka:
And there are the gift bottle matroushka and the cabinet doorhanger matroushka:
I stil want to make a little matroushka quilt! My mom gave me these beautiful old Dutch sits-cotton.
(Den Haan en Wagenmakers)Which she bought in the store by Olga Prins.
Don't you Think they'll look gorgeous as little matroushka's.... to be continued!

Those matroushkas are adorable Heleen! The colours are so vibrant and just like the brightness of the wooden versions! Brilliant! Lucy x
Oh. My. Stars. Those are so flippin' adorable!!!! I want one, no I want a dozen!! Do you have a pattern? Is this something you thought up on your own? They are fantastic either way!

oooh I love them all but especially the little keyhanger one !!!!
Ik heb al een aantal matroushka's gezien op het internet, maar ik vind die van jou toch wel heeeeel errug mooi! Ik zie (oa) het stofje van het eerste jurkje van mijn dochter, leuk, leuk, leuk!!
Ohhh -- they are adorable! That key hanger one is great, and so is the cabinet hangar. Such beautiful colors. And that fabric from your mother will be perfect for more!
I love, love, love the little dolls!! They are beyond adorable. I'd love to own one... are you selling them on Etsy?

What a great way to spend time with a sick child. Those little dolls are magnificent.
Beautiful dolls! You have a soft spot for these happy russian dolls too, I can see.
Wow, you're a real artist, the colors are so great, they give me brightness to where I am in Iceland at the darkest days of the year (it's dark at 16.00 a.m.), thanks, I needed that :) - look forward to see what you'll make of the beautiful fabrics from your mother

En dat doe je zomaar even tussen door...???? Wat ziet het er heerlijk vrolijk en gezellig uit! Ik ben benieuwd naar hoe je quilt zal gaan worden!
You were very productive while your son was ill. I am glad he is better and I think you must get a real kick out of seeing that basket full of pretty matroushkas! The fabrics from Den Haan en Wagenmakers will look wonderful made into a matroushka quilt. I will keep watching for that finish one day soon on your blog.
Hugs ~

Heerlijk hè, even wat 'kleins' handwerken op de bank?
Wow, great job!!! I love them, Heleen!!! So colorful, so pretty!!!
Oh, these are so precious, and I loved seeing the beautiful fabric! I hope your little one is feeling better soon. We are going through the flu over here too, slowly getting better. Thanks so much for brightening up my day!
